Suncatcher Surf Shop About Us

Betty Rousenbacker bought the Mimi Shop in 1953 from Mi Mi and moved the location to 262 96th Street. In 1956 we bought the corner of 95th and 2nd Avenue and have prospered here ever since. Tom Markle started SunCatcher Surf Shop in January of 1981. We have grown by carrying only the best of all Surfboards and only the highest quality of men's/women's apparel. Now it's time to take our store into the new digital world, we will be starting the SunCatcherSurf.com Online Store in 2007.
